I'll start by saying that going into this, despite the excellent reviews, I was incredibly weary of handing my car over to a bunch of strangers. I'm very happy to say that the experience I've had with upstate ppf has been … More exceptional, and I would recommend them to anyone I know who wants to get paint protection for their car. That said, I think it's always good to explain how exactly my experience was and where it all started, but if you want the short of it - this place is awesome and you should go, the five star reviews are no lie!I purchased my Civic Type R in April of this year and knew the day I got it that I wanted it to have paint protection film (dealership was shocked that I didn't want their crappy simoniz ceramic coat). My initial search led me to two places, one on Saratoga and this place. The reviews for Upstate PPF, Tint & Coatings were far better than the place in Saratoga so I reached out. I used their website to initiate contact and within a few hours I got a few texts and a phone call.I wanted full frontal ppf, side skirts and the cargo area to have ppf applied, which totaled out to ~$2500 (less than market rate). They even threw in the cargo strip for free! I think the only thing of note here is that the deposit is half of the total versus something like $500, but ppf is a painstaking job and having a customer not pay out can impact the business a lot (especially since I beleive it's mostly just 2 guys doing everything).I dropped my car off on a Thursday and picked it up on Monday (so they had my car for a few days). The initial time estimate was shorter than what it ended up being, but they told me they didn't like how the side skirts came out and were redoing them. Upon picking up the car, I was told there was a bit of a mishap with the ppf delaminating the front grille. Major bummer for me since removing the bumper on cars almost always makes the fitment worse, but Upstate PPF owned up to what happened (even if they weren't why it delaminated) and ordered the replacement part. I think it's super important to highlight how they handled this situation, any other ppf company could've easily blamed the product and not fixed it, but Upstate PPF really lived up to the 5 star rating and tried to make the replacement of the grille as easy and stress free as possible for me.The actual ppf itself has the benefit of being precut, so while it may not always fit perfectly, there will be minimal use of a blade near your cars paint (really only for trimming). The work itself came out as I expected. PPF, when initially applied will always have some water, air bubbles and dirt under it, you just need to wait a few days (10) for it to cure, then the excess needs to be trimmed/cut as needed. While picking up my car, I also decided to purchase a ceramic coat for the rest of the car. I ended up going with the 5 year variation for ~$800. After the 2ish weeks of waiting for the ppf to cure, I once again dropped her off at the ol' middle of nowhere pangburn road location. They had the car from Wednesday to the following Monday and did both the trimming/cutting and grille repair, as well as the ceramic coat. I picked up the car and was instructed not to clean it until 2 more weeks (today at the time of posting) wherein I should bring it back and have the Upstate PPF guys clean it for me to show me what and what not to do, as well as show me what products are best for the finish and ppf. In the case of the grille replacement, I don't remember if the bumper had to be removed, but I will say that I can't tell that the grille was replaced. The left side of the bumper isn't as rigid as it once was (like 10% less rigid), but that is simply the nature of the beast when it comes to bumper removal (clip wear) - that said I will be removing the bumper myself at points in the future so I don't mind at all since the clips and fitment will only continue to get looser over time, and it's barely noticeable.I think overall this experience has had its ups and downs, but Upstate PPF has outdone themselves. Believe the hype.

Excellent PPF job. Wanted to protect front of vehicle from rock chips. RJ is extremely communicative and very professional. I asked multiple questions and he always got right back to me! He explained the process and how the PPF is applied. … More I am very impressed with the service and the attention to detail. They even included a total vehicle ceramic coating! Glad I chose Upstate. Will return for other services! Cannot recommend them enough! Other companies either didn’t get back to me or were over priced.

We were so impressed that when we bought our new truck we brought our new Chevy HD3500 in for the Woolwax undercoating treatment. I cannot say enough about how RJ puts the effort in from prepping the vehicle properly to the application of the product to ensure it’s done absolutely right! For me and my wife he was able to exceed our expectations each time. If you want skill and talent choose RJ you will absolutely get the quality of service you want. PHENOMENAL work and VERY responsive to all of my questions. I got the undercoat spray protection and the silver package.Still have to wait a couple of weeks to get my truck washed (which is gonna kill me cuz I wash my truck once or twice … More a week). I was able to enjoy it for a few hours before rain ruined the day. But, I was driving on the northway and never had to use the wipers. Water just whisked away.I'm a big "you pay for what you get"....some may see the price tag and try to find a cheaper option. Let me tell you something. Don't go the cheaper route.You pay for quality work, you'll get quality results. That's where PPF comes in. Quality work at a decent price point.You won't be disappointed.Work done on a 2025 Ram 1500. Ceramic coating and undercoat spray. They even dressed up the wheel wells too. Paid about $1200 after taxes and fees and a tip for the crew.It's the little things they do. Even showed me a chip in the paint on the bumper. (Probably from a rock from the highway)
